Window Film for Sunrooms: Making a Hot Room Usable Again
A sunroom overheats because it is mostly glass, and no amount of cooling capacity competes with that much solar gain. Solar control film reduces the heat at its source, which is why it's usually the first and most cost-effective fix.
The math of a glass room
A typical room is 10–15% glass. A sunroom can be 70% or more, sometimes including overhead glazing. Every square foot is collecting solar energy for hours a day. That's why the portable A/C unit people buy first never quite works.
What film changes
Rejecting a large share of the solar energy before it enters drops both the air temperature and, just as noticeably, the radiant heat you feel from the glass itself. Add UV rejection and the furniture, cushions and flooring in there stop bleaching out.

Specification matters more here than anywhere
Sunroom glazing is inconsistent — different vintages, different glass types, sometimes with existing coatings, often tempered, occasionally sloped. Film has to be matched to it. This is a case where an on-site look is not optional.
