Paint Protection Film (PPF) in Smithfield, NC
We install Autobahn paint protection film — self-healing, optically clear urethane over the panels that take the abuse. Far cheaper than a respray, and it keeps resale value intact.

Leading edge of the hood and fenders, mirrors and front bumper. The budget-conscious way to cover where 80% of chips actually land.
Full Front
Full hood, full fenders, front bumper, mirrors and headlights. No visible cut line across the hood — the most popular package by far.
High-Impact Add-Ons
Rocker panels, A-pillars, roof leading edge, door cups, door edges and the rear loading bumper on SUVs.
Track / Full Body
Every painted panel wrapped. For collector cars, new performance deliveries and anyone who never wants to think about it again.
What the film actually buys you
Impact protection
Absorbs rock chips, gravel spray, road debris and bug strikes that would otherwise crater your clear coat.
Self-healing top coat
Light swirls and fine scratches vanish with heat, so the panels keep looking freshly detailed.
Stain and etch resistance
Bug guts, bird droppings and tree sap can't attack the paint directly.
Resale value
Original, unchipped paint is worth real money at trade-in. Film is removable when you sell.
Pairs with ceramic coating
Coat over the film for gloss and hydrophobics and the whole car washes easier.
Proper prep, in-house
Decontamination and correction before the film goes on. We don't seal in defects.
PPF questions
+What is paint protection film?
PPF is a thick, optically clear urethane film applied over your paint. It absorbs rock chips, road rash, bug etching and light scratches so the paint underneath stays factory-fresh.
+Can you see paint protection film once it's on?
Installed properly, it's essentially invisible. Edges are wrapped or tucked where possible, and the film is optically clear so the paint color and gloss come through unchanged.
+What is self-healing film?
The top coat of quality PPF re-flows with heat, so light swirls and fine scratches disappear after sitting in the sun or getting warm water poured over the panel.
+Which areas should I cover?
Most people start with the high-impact zone: full or partial hood, front bumper, fenders, mirrors and headlights. Track and highway drivers often add rocker panels, A-pillars, the roof leading edge and door cups.
+Can I put a ceramic coating over PPF?
Yes, and it's a great combination. PPF takes the impacts, the ceramic coating on top adds gloss and hydrophobics and makes both easier to clean. We can do both in one visit.
+Do you do PPF on used vehicles?
Absolutely. We just need the paint decontaminated and corrected enough first — film locks in whatever is underneath it, so prep matters.
Getting film installed anyway? Bundle it with ceramic window tint and a ceramic coating in a single visit.
