What Drives Commercial Window Film Cost
Commercial window film is quoted per square foot of glass. The variables that actually move a bid are the film specified, how hard the glass is to reach, whether old film has to be removed, and whether the work has to happen outside business hours.
Film specification
A nearly clear UV film and a high-performance spectrally selective film are different products with different costs. Security films are thicker and priced higher again. The right question isn't what's cheapest per square foot, it's which film solves the complaint you're getting.
Access and labor
Ground-floor storefront glass is straightforward. Upper floors, fixed glazing, high atrium glass, mullion-heavy curtain wall and anything needing lifts all add labor. So does furniture and workstation moving in an occupied office.
